In the midst of summer, while everyone is planning their next travel destination and there is a constant sense of urgency to be doing something every second, we forget to slow down and enjoy where we are. I have found that this is especially true in the city.  Yes, New York is dirty and smelly and crowded and whether you love it or hate it, there is no place like it. Last night, as we cruised up the Hudson and watched the sun go down over the Manhattan skyline, the feeling that washed over us was surreal. Watching the city from a distance made all the chaos it carries seem trivial, as if time stopped for a moment while the sun set.
