Empties June/July 17

Lashes Love & Laughter

Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog ♥

I’ve been saving all of my empty products for the last two months so that I can write an empties blog for you all. I have finally got enough beauty products to make this post therefore I thought I would review them for you and let you know if I will be repurchasing any of them again and also giving you my honest opinion on the products I mention.

Dove Go Fresh Anti-perspirant Grapefruit & Lemongrass Scent £3.45- This tube of anti-perspirant holds 250ml this means it has lasted me a good couple of months and I believe its well worth investing more money in a bigger tube that will last longer. Dove is the only brand of Anti-perspirant I will ever buy as it’s really gentle on your skin and doesn’t make me itch like some other deodorants do. I also really…

ABH: Aurora Glow Kit Review & Swatches

Karolina Arianné

Hello everyone,

How are we all doing today? I have been posting more than just once a week so far and i’m loving it! I shall continue to do so until i have a more busy schedle again.

So, i have a fresh review of the ever so hyped about addition to the Anastasia Beverly Hills glow kit family … the Aurora Glow Kit! I bought it right at the release date and finally took some nice photos of it to share with you.

First of all, the packaging – it is beautiful. Depending on how the light hits it, you can even see a magical rainbow appearing on it. Norvina and the ABH team really thought this through – it actually reminds me of the Aurora Princess.

As you can see, it is candy to your eyes and will complement every vanity display.

‘As you open the palette…

Apply concealer Correctly

Hi everyone, welcome back

We all would love to have naturally flawless and glowing skin, but we don’t. Like it or not, the stress of hectic work schedules, the build-up of pollution in the environment, poor eating habits and unhealthy lifestyles all take a harmful toll on your skin. Considering how delicate our skin and its complexion are, they are highly sensitive to any and all of these things.

Generally there are two ways of applying concealer. The first method is to dot your whole face, especially the areas you want covered, and gently run your concealer brush over your face blending these dots with your skin in outward strokes. This needs to be done with a light hand and many women simply use their index finger to blend the dotted concealer with their skin, in order to give their whole face an even and neat complexion. Many other women…

Know Cosmetics No Dark Shadows Review

Paige Helen

Happy monday everyone!

Where the hell did the weekend go? I am glad it’s going fast though because I am on a count down to Florida!

So my blog post today is a review of the Know Cosmetics No Dark Shadows concealer.

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

So I got sent this concealer by the lovely people at Sparkle PR. You can pick up know cosmetics in Superdrug with this item costing £15. As well as concealer they offer a brow product and a lip plumping product. The No Dark Shadows concealer comes in two colours. I received the colour WOW which is pinky tones and there is also Pizazz which is yellow toned.

When I received the product ( I hadn’t heard or seen this brand before) I knew it would come with a brush applicator.

And to be honest I am not a huge fan of brush applicators for concealers but I am…

Protein Chickpea Carrot Cake

My other half was making a carrot cake for afternoon tea at my parent’s house. I love carrot cake so I eagerly popped all of the ingredients from the recipe into MyFitnessPal in the hope that I would be able to fit a slice in to my macros. The verdict: Per slice it was 662kcal, 8P, 57C, 31F. That’ll be a no then!!! Lol!

My chickpea cake recipe was a success as a vanilla cake and a bread so I thought I’d add some things from his recipe to my recipe and adapt it to create a healthy protein carrot cake. To try and make this even better, the carrots for the cake were home grown from my garden and had the most lovely sweet taste to them. I kept my fingers crossed and mixed everything together…

…Baked it for half an hour and sliced it…

… Then finally iced…

Los Angeles: Food Edition #2

The Finicky Cynic

Greetings, bloggers!

It’s been a while since my last food post, but I’ve still continued to hit the streets of Los Angeles for some good ol’ grub. There’s a lot to catch up from this past month of food adventures, so let’s get to them! 🙂

The weekend after returning from vacation (in the Pacific Northwest), my family and I paid a visit to my grandparent’s house where my aunt, uncle, and cousin also met with us. We had lunch together and afterwards, we drove around the 626 area, aka“San Gabriel Chinatown,” where we popped into a boba shop to try its special sea salt taro latte. I’d been meaning to give it a go, especially when my cousin (more of a boba connoisseur than myself) had recommended it to me. That said, we got our drinks and drove back to our grandparent’s house to enjoy the smooth…
